In years 4, 5 and 6 we have been using our Maths skills and our Computing skills to create our first programs.

We were given 3 challenges:

We have to use our problem-solving skills to work out how many times the Beebot needed to move forward to reach the specified distance. We also had to work out how to measure its progress and tried to calculate how far it moved with each button press.

Then we tried to use this information to program the Beebot to complete the challenges:

If we completed all of these challenges, there was a special challenge awaiting us. Without using the Beebot, we had to use our estimating and measuring skills to get the Beebot from a start line to a specific point in the classroom. We predicted the algorithm on our whiteboards and then tested them and debugged:
